Block 4

Trying to catch up with my patchwork block a week challenge. Asking myself why I set myself a challenge in the first place. Deciding it's my challenge so I can make up my own rules. Used the sewing machine instead of hand stitching and felt guilty.

Anyway - it's block 4 and it's called Basket Weave - it looks fairly neat - on this side at least!

I'm reading and enjoying "The Bookshop" by Penelope Fitzgerald and can commiserate with Florence about the levels of damp, but am pleased that I've never had to live with a rapper (and I don't mean music). It's a stormy night here on the West Coast of Scotland - off to read a few more chapters.
